+6 million people live in modern slavery
We seek to rescue and restore victims of sexual slavery through the love and power of God
A Message from Jennifer Barratt
Project Rescue began in 1997 as a response to the overwhelming need in the red-light districts of Southern Asia and has grown into a global network that ministers to those in sexual exploitation around the world.
We believe that all men, women, and children are image bearers of Christ and deserve to live their lives freely, as fully empowered daughters and sons of God. The way we work looks different in each country, culture, and context we operate in, but our vision and values remain the same. Our varied initiatives serve the purpose of rescuing and restoring the lives of those affected by exploitation.
Throughout our history, even in the midst of the challenges that come with this work, we have seen so many miracles! We believe there is hope for each woman and child we serve. God's hope changes lives, and though the journey is long, full healing and restoration are possible!
The Project Rescue ministry network continues to grow and expand, and our desire is to equip and resource those around the world who are called to this fight.
We can do this together!

Who We Are
our Approach
Our work is built around 3 key areas
PREVENTION
We work to reduce vulnerability before exploitation occurs through community education, residential care for at-risk children, and programs that strengthen families in high-risk communities.
INTERVENTION
Working alongside trusted local partners, law enforcement, and social workers, we help identify, rescue, and provide immediate care for women and children seeking freedom from exploitation.
RESTORATION
Freedom is just the beginning. Survivors receive long-term, trauma-informed care that may include safe housing, counseling, education, medical care, vocational training, spiritual care, and opportunities to build sustainable futures.
And this is happening in 16 countries across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific. Learn more about our partners:
