Prim

At 14 years old, Prim was at a high-risk of becoming a sex slave, coming off the streets in an area plagued with prostitution. Instead, Prim was brought to a Project Rescue home. But she was so anxious and upset that she would not go to school. She had to be encouraged daily to eat, change clothes, and brush her teeth. She felt alone in this home, even with 50 other girls around her. She was fearful and would sometimes wake up in tears. It took a lot of patience from our staff, conversations between Prim and her social worker, and several months before Prim started attending school with the other students. Prim’s confidence slowly grew, and she became more comfortable with her peers. The next year, Prim faced a new school year. The students elected 4 class officers. Prim was nominated and elected as class Secretary! It is evident to all that God has changed her heart! She is braver now, and the joy in her smile is contagious. She is continuing to grow and excel in school.
