Saloni and her family faced the harsh reality of poverty, forcing them to live on the streets just outside the red-light district.

Their makeshift home was made of tarps on the side of the road, leaving them exposed to the dangers and abuse that comes with such vulnerable conditions. Saloni's mother, trapped in a cycle of sexual exploitation, endured daily customers, and Saloni herself grew up under constant threat.

Despite these challenges, a ray of hope emerged through our partners Project Rescue outreach team. Recognizing the dire situation, the team offered Saloni a chance to come to a Project Rescue safe home. Saloni’s mother, hoping for a better future for her daughter, entrusted her to the care of Project Rescue.

At the safe home, Saloni found a haven. She had her own bed, a safe environment, and the opportunity to attend school—things she had never experienced before. It was here that she began to learn about God's love and grace. The supportive environment helped her grow in faith and understand that she was not alone. With the guidance of her new family at the safe home, Saloni started to believe in a brighter future and learned to trust in God's protection and guidance.

A few years later, Saloni faced the painful loss of her mother. Though deeply saddened, her faith gave her strength and courage. Saloni has now been a part of Project Rescue for ten years and is on the verge of an exciting new chapter in her life. She is graduating from high school and preparing to begin technical training. In addition, she has taken on the role of a volunteer at the Project Rescue center, giving back to the community that has supported her.

As Saloni embarks on this new journey, she continues to be a cherished member of the Project Rescue family. We remain committed to coming alongside her as she steps into God's purpose for her life.
