HOPE STARTS HERE STORIES

Saesha

From Abandonment to Restoration. Saesha is now a mother.

Saesha's story is a powerful testament to the restorative hope that God brings, even in the darkest of circumstances.

Raised by her grandparents, Saesha’s childhood was marked by learning and simple joys, but things changed when she went to live with her father, who struggled with domestic violence.

Overwhelmed by the situation at home, a young Saesha made the heartbreaking decision to run away.

At a bus station, she recognized a man she trusted and called “uncle,” but instead of offering her safety, he betrayed her, selling her into a life of exploitation. Saesha was plunged into a terrifying world where her freedom was stolen.

After a police raid, she was relocated to another area, where she was heavily drugged and manipulated. She was given medications and injections to make her unaware of her surroundings, leaving her powerless to understand or resist the horrors she faced.

One morning, an older man purchased Saesha and took her to live with him, pretending she was his daughter. While he allowed her a small degree of freedom, his ultimate plan was to sell her abroad. He even arranged for her passport.

However, just as her situation seemed hopeless, a neighbor, sensing something was wrong, contacted the authorities. The police intervened, rescuing Saesha and arresting the man.

Following her rescue, the authorities contacted her parents, hoping for a family reunion. Tragically, her parents refused to take her back, stating that they didn’t want her anymore.

Saesha was placed in a government-run children’s home, where she stayed for three years before being transferred to a safe home where she could begin the slow process of healing. There, she attempted to complete her education, but challenges remained.

Desperate for love, Saesha met a man named Kiaan and ran away with him, believing she would find safety and stability. They had a daughter, Aanya. However, her hope for a better life was short-lived.

She faced severe abuse from Kiaan’s family, and when Kiaan learned of her past, he abandoned her while she was pregnant with their second child. Left alone on the streets, Saesha struggled to survive.

Saesha, now 23, arrived at a safe home with her two children, Aanya, age 4, and Aarjun, her 1-year-old son. Despite the deep scars from her past, Saesha is beginning a new chapter.

Today, Saesha and her children are safe. Her daughter Aanya has started attending a regular school and is now in kindergarten. Aarjun, the younger child, is surrounded by many caring brothers, sisters, grandmothers, and grandfathers who love and support him.

Through much prayer and with God-given wisdom and strength, one of our teams was able to help reunite Saesha and her husband. As a result, Aanya and Aarjun now have their father back in their lives.

Saesha’s story is one of resilience, showing the transformative power of God’s grace. Through His strength, she is finding healing, and her journey toward restoration is just beginning.

Even after all Saesha has endured, her faith is growing, and God’s plan for her life offers hope, healing, and a brighter future.
