But when her family faced desperate circumstances, her father made a devastating decision: he allowed Sadhana to be sold into prostitution. Her mother did not stop him.

What followed left wounds that reached far beyond the exploitation Sadhana endured. She carried anger toward her father for making it happen and deep hurt toward her mother for failing to protect her. The choices of the people closest to her shaped how Sadhana saw herself, her family, and the possibility of trusting others.

After she was rescued, Sadhana came to live at a Project Rescue partner’s home. Surrounded by patient, compassionate care, she began rebuilding her life. Safety gave her space to breathe again, while counseling, community, and new opportunities helped her rediscover her worth. Still, some wounds required time—and the thought of facing her parents remained overwhelming.

Years later, Sadhana was given the opportunity to meet them. She was nervous, unsure of what the encounter might awaken within her. Yet she chose to go.

Forgiving her parents did not excuse their choices or erase their consequences. Instead, it became another step in Sadhana's continuing journey of healing—one that helped her look toward the future with renewed hope.

As Sadhana continued rebuilding her life, she discovered a path that allowed her gifts and confidence to grow. She completed her training as a Pilates instructor and soon received two job offers. Although unrest in the country temporarily interrupted her work, she was able to return several weeks later and continue pursuing the future she had worked so hard to build.

Sadhana healing is not finished, but neither is her story. With every courageous step, she is discovering a life shaped by forgiveness, meaningful work, and the faithful restoration of God.
