Pari’s rescue began in a way no one expected.

For years, our partners had faithfully visited the red-light district, building trust with women and brothel owners so that, when a woman was ready for help, there would be a safe path forward. But Pari’s story unfolded differently. One afternoon, a madam called our site leader and spoke with an emotionally detached tone, saying that one of the women in her brothel was “of no use” to her.

It was simple.

“Do you want her? She is worthless to me.”

There was no hesitation. “Yes, we want her.”

Because every woman is worth pursuing, and Pari was no exception.

When the outreach team found her, Pari was distressed and deeply shaken. She had fled from a customer whose violence had escalated beyond what she believed she could survive. She had run simply to save her life. Though overwhelmed and exhausted, she allowed our partners to bring her to safety.

As she slowly shared her story, it became clear how much she had endured. The madam had begun sending the most violent customers to her, night after night, leaving her fearful and struggling to understand why she had been singled out.

Through tears, she described moments of terror she still struggled to put into words. Yet even in her pain, there was a quiet strength—an inner resolve that told us she had been fighting to hold on long before she reached our care.

For eighteen months, the team provided physical, emotional, and spiritual assistance and saw Pari return to health. She grew in her understanding of God’s love, too, and eventually graduated from the program as evidence of God’s grace. Pari never has to return to prostitution and is learning a vocation so she can provide for herself.
