This summer God opened the door for Project Rescue to affiliate with a new ministry working with trafficking victims in Madrid, Spain. Fiona and her husband Juan Carlos Escobar, the General Superintendent for Assemblies of God in Spain, direct an outreach to trafficked women at the Center of Internment for Foreigners.

In the last four months, the outreach team has ministered to over 60 women from 20 different countries. Many have crossed continents in deplorable and dangerous conditions to arrive at their destination only to discover they have been deceived and are victims of sex trafficking.

The team is taking items to the women to meet their basic needs since they literally have nothing. As the team listens to their heartbreaking stories, they also pray for them and offer support in practical ways such as medical, psychological, legal and spiritual help. The imprisoned ladies eagerly ask for prayer and are delighted to receive books and Bibles in their languages. Let’s celebrate what God is doing and pray for breakthrough in women’s lives.
