It Is More Blessed To Give Than To Receive

Birthdays were never special occasions to me; it comes and goes. As I will be celebrating my 21st birthday this year, I really wanted to make this day count and what could be better than making this day count for God? The idea of raising funds came to mind but I totally had zero idea how to go about doing it, which organisation to partner with and for what cause.

Big dreams, no direction – that was I. To be honest I was close to dismissing the thought and just let my 21st past. But one verse that kept me going was “You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did” -James 2:22. Till now, I really don’t know how God will move but I believe with faith, mountains will move and He will work through my inability to bring glory to His name. Indeed, God is good and after much seeking and prayer He led me to a ministry that clicked within me. I discovered a special compassion towards women and children that have been driven to sexual slavery because of their circumstances. I believe every woman is made to reflect God’s beauty – beauty of worth, beauty of confidence and beauty of love. And hope begins from us!

This year, instead of gifts, I’d like to invite you to give any amount you’d like to support this ministry. Every cent donated will go to the funding for the initiatives of Project Rescue’s ministry to bring healing and restoration to victims that are so preciously loved by God. Project Rescue is a ministry that seeks to rescue and restore victims of sexual slavery in the love and power of Jesus Christ. Trinity Christian Centre has also been supporting their initiatives. The fundraising will be until 28th February.

I’ll end off with one of my favourite quotes: “The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed.” — Hudson Taylor

Thank you for blessing me by being a blessing to others yourself!  ”It is more blessed to give than to receive,” Acts 20:35. To God be the glory.
