What is the name of your youth group?

Venerate, which means reverence of God, respecting Him as our Father.  

 

How many students attend? 

20 students

 

How have you been impacted by your students?

They have the biggest hearts to give, to serve and to know God. They have done so much for the Kingdom of God. I love each and every one of them so much.

 

What would you like to say to other youthgroups around the world? 

There is a book called Practicing the Presence of God and the guy that wrote it said, 'If I was a preacher, I would preach nothing but practicing the presence of God.' We believe that the PRESENCE of God is first, and the power of God is second. Our goal as a youth group is to be in the presence of God before we try to do anything else, and show the world that we've BEEN with Jesus!

 

How and why did you become involved withProject Rescue? 

I went to a Missions weekend at a church here in our area and David Grant was speaking. The Lord really put it on my heart for our youth group to raise 1,000 dollars to send to Project Rescue. We pray for Project Rescue every week before we start worship.
